GN Group of Institutes offers Mechanical Engineering programs at the Bachelor's level. This is a comprehensive degree program, aims to create a flexible undergraduate educational experience to design, develop, construct, produce, install, operate and maintain the various industrial components through deep understanding of their basic mechanism and functioning. Principal study topics include materials engineering, manufacturing, solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, internal combustion engines, computer aided design and other. The department strives to generate high quality graduates through this rigorous coursework. The department has highly qualified and experienced faculty members with a rich blend of teaching, research and industrial experience. The faculty members are actively engaged in research and constantly publish research papers in International and National journals. This department is well equipped with lab facilities for the students, which includes basic engineering workshop to most modern CNC machine shop.

Eligibility

S.NO NAME OF CET ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA & ADMISSION CRITERIA
1 BTECH Eligibility Criteria: Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately. Candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core/ elective/ functional) in the qualifying examination. Admissions Criteria: All applicants are required to appear in Joint Entrance Exam(JEE) Main Paper 1 Conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). The University shall not conduct its own CET for admissions, but shall be utilizing the merit of JEE Main Paper1 for its admissions. The admissions would be based on the merit / rank in the JEE. Note: Blind (including colour blind), deaf and/or dumb candidates shall not be eligible for admission in these courses.
2 Lateral Entry to B.Tech Programmes for Diploma holders Eligibility Criteria: Three-years diploma (completed) in any of the following branches of Engg./Technology with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate* from any recognized Diploma awarding institute/university/board recognized by AICTE:- Computer Engg; Automobile Engg; Chemical Engg, Civil Engg, Construction Engg, Electrical Engg, Electronics & Communication Engg, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Mechanical Engg., Maintenance Engg., Plastic Engg., Printing & Publishing, Production Engg., Public Health & Environmental Engg., Tool & Die Making. Admissions Criteria: Applicants must appear in the CET conducted. The admissions would be based on the merit / rank in the CET.
3 Lateral Entry to B.Tech Programmes for B.Sc. Graduates Eligibility Criteria: B.Sc. Graduates with 60% marks in aggregate* with pass in Mathematics as a subject from any recognized University. Admissions Criteria: Applicants must appear in the CET conducted. The admissions would be based on the merit / rank in the CET.
4 Management quota admissions Eligibility Criteria: Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately. Candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core/ elective/ functional) in the qualifying examination. Pant University, Agra University, Rohilkhand University, APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, and IIITM Gwalior. Currently serving as the Director of Greater Noida Institute of Technology, Dr. Shukla is dedicated to fostering academic excellence and institutional growth.
A certified Gen Emissary for NEP 2020, Dr. Shukla has expertise in Outcome-Based Education, student-centric teaching methodologies, and accreditation processes. He has also trained over 3,000 engineering educators through Wipro Mission10X and is a certified international engineering educator.
Dr. Shukla’s leadership has been instrumental in steering institutions toward NAAC accreditation and establishing Centres of Excellence, particularly in teaching and learning. He is passionate about transforming engineering education, focusing on innovation, quality, and holistic student development. His unwavering commitment to academic excellence continues to inspire both faculty and students, making GNIT a hub of innovation and learning under his visionary guidance.
