Eligibility

B.Tech. – 4 Years Programme

  • Direct Admission:Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination or it’s equivalent from any recognized Board/ University with at least 45% marks for General Category or 40% marks for SC/ST Category without grace in Mathematics, Physics and one optional subject of Chemistry /Biology/ Computer Science.
  • Through UPSEE Counseling:For the Academic Year 2025-2026, the Score sheet of JEE (Main) will be used for admission to B.Tech. Course.

B.Tech. Lateral Entry (2nd Year) – 3 Years Programme

Candidates must have passed Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. with Mathematics with aggregate 45% for General Category or 40% for SC/ST Category. These seats are only for students who have passed qualifying examination from UP or UP Domicile.

Department highlights

B.Tech. in CSE is a broad and flexible degree program with the curriculum specifically designed to reflect the depth and breadth of computer science. Expert members from Academia and Industry provide inputs in introducing specialized courses in the curriculum to suit industry needs. The department has well-qualified and experienced faculty who excel in their chosen field. The faculty has undergone training and is certified through various Faculty Development Programs. The CSE Department regularly organizes seminars, student symposia, short-term training program and value added courses. This provides a wide range of opportunities for faculty and students to bring out their potential and innovative skills in a variety of fields.

The Degree program is spread over four years with two semesters in each year. Students study five theory courses and work on assignments in two or three laboratory courses in each semester. The first year of engineering is common to all disciplines. The students learn basic courses in Computer Engineering, such as Discrete Structures, Data Structures, Digital Logic and Microprocessors in second year engineering. The courses such as Data Bases, Software Engineering, Signal Processing, Computer Networks and Theory of Computation are offered in third year engineering. Students present seminar on topic as per their interest and also carry out a mini project in a group of 3/4 students. In the final year engineering students not only study core courses such as Algorithms, Compilers, Object Oriented, Modeling, Advanced Computer Architecture, Distributed Operating Systems, but also choose elective courses as per their interest. Students’ also carryout project work geared to the needs of the industry.

Library plays a very healthy role throughout our life. It provides a very calm and disciplined atmosphere which helps students to maintain a good concentration on their studies and healthy environment for learning as well as making notes or completing an assignment. GNC Library provides fully air-conditioned & Wi-Fi enabled world-class learning environment. The College has a well-stocked library having nearly 5850 of Text and Reference books with 641 titles and a good number of (20) National / International Journals; magazines and daily newspapers. The library has very rich collections of e-books, online resources to fulfil the research and teaching need of the academic community and audio-video facilities are also provided in the library to facilitate the research and teaching learning activities.
