The Computer Science & Engineering Department is a self-driven proactive nerve centre, which caters to the ever-growing technology in the sphere of academic, research and training needs of computing concepts, tools and techniques in the profession of Computer Science and Information Technology. It encompasses a variety of topic relating to computation, ranging from abstract analysis of algorithms and formal grammars, to subjects like programming languages, software, Artificial Intelligence, Soft Computing and Computer hardware.
The mission of the Computer Science Department is to shape the students to be innovative, entrepreneurial, supportive assured and international. The department is committed to improve the quality of education by enhancing the knowledge of students and staff. The department offers small class sizes in computer laboratory that provides an interactive approach to learning programming concepts. Emphasis is laid on both practical & theoretical training so as to expose the students to various areas of technology and its latest developments.
The department always motivates research group in the board areas of Image Processing, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data & Deep Learning, Pattern Recognition, Natural Language Processing, Cyber Security, & many more.

Candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core/ elective/ functional) in the qualifying examination. Admissions Criteria: All applicants are required to appear in Joint Entrance Exam(JEE) Main Paper 1 Conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). The University shall not conduct its own CET for admissions, but shall be utilizing the merit of JEE Main Paper1 for its admissions. The admissions would be based on the merit / rank in the JEE. Note: Blind (including colour blind), deaf and/or dumb candidates shall not be eligible for admission in these courses. |
| 2 | Lateral Entry to B.Tech Programmes for Diploma holders | Eligibility Criteria: Three-years diploma (completed) in any of the following branches of Engg./Technology with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate* from any recognized Diploma awarding institute/university/board recognized by AICTE:- Computer Engg; Automobile Engg; Chemical Engg, Civil Engg, Construction Engg, Electrical Engg, Electronics & Communication Engg, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Mechanical Engg., Maintenance Engg., Plastic Engg., Printing & Publishing, Production Engg., Public Health & Environmental Engg., Tool & Die Making. Admissions Criteria: Applicants must appear in the CET conducted. The admissions would be based on the merit / rank in the CET. |

Dr. Sandeep Singh Sengar is an experienced academician and administrator in the field of technical education. He has completed his Doctor of Philosophy from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee under Ministry of Human Resource Developement (MHRD) fellowship in 2013 and Master of Technology from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh in 2002.
In his 20+ years teaching and research duration he has published ten research papers in high repute International journals . He has attended and published papers in various International conferences.
In his academic career, he has guided post graduate and graduate students in the field of electronics engineering. He is editorial member and advisory board member of quite a few international journals.
He is reviewer of some of the international journals. His research experience includes working with organizations such as ICFAI Dehradun, JKLU Jaipur and FTVETI Ethiopia.
His research interest lies in Soft computing, Digital Signal Processing, Image Processing, Remote sensing and disaster mitigation.

Library
The GN GROUP OF INSTITUTE Library is fully air-conditioned and Wi-Fi enabled unit with seating capacity for about 100 readers. The library employs the latest technology in library sciences to provide the best learning environment to its readers.

Career Opportunities
The Degree program is spread over four years with two semesters in each year. Students study five theory courses and work on assignments in two or three laboratory courses in each semester. The first year of engineering is common to all disciplines. The students learn basic courses in Computer Science and Engineering, such as Discrete Structures, Data Structures, Operating Systems, Digital Electronics, Theory of Computation and Microprocessors in second year of engineering. The courses such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning Techniques, Analysis of Algorithms, Databases, Software Engineering, Computer Networks etc. are offered in the third year of engineering. Students present seminar on topics as per their interest and also carry out a mini project in a group of 3/4 students during their second and third year of engineering. In the final year engineering, students not only study core courses such as Distributed systems, Object Oriented Modelling, Advanced Computer Architecture but also choose elective courses as per their interest. Students also carryout project work as per the industry demands.
