The Department of Information Technology is imparting technical education of high quality to the aspiring youth of the country. The department with the passage of its evolution and growth has succeeded in creating its place of excellence within the Institute as well as among its counterparts in the country. It has been attracting bright students from all parts of the country for quality education in Information Technology at Under Graduate level. During the course of time it has offered opportunities to its inmates in the area of quality education.

Candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core/ elective/ functional) in the qualifying examination. Admissions Criteria: All applicants are required to appear in Joint Entrance Exam(JEE) Main Paper 1 Conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). The University shall not conduct its own CET for admissions, but shall be utilizing the merit of JEE Main Paper1 for its admissions. The admissions would be based on the merit / rank in the JEE. Note: Blind (including colour blind), deaf and/or dumb candidates shall not be eligible for admission in these courses. |
| 2 | Lateral Entry to B.Tech Programmes for Diploma holders | Eligibility Criteria: Three-years diploma (completed) in any of the following branches of Engg./Technology with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate* from any recognized Diploma awarding institute/university/board recognized by AICTE:- Computer Engg; Automobile Engg; Chemical Engg, Civil Engg, Construction Engg, Electrical Engg, Electronics & Communication Engg, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Mechanical Engg., Maintenance Engg., Plastic Engg., Printing & Publishing, Production Engg., Public Health & Environmental Engg., Tool & Die Making. Admissions Criteria: Applicants must appear in the CET conducted. The admissions would be based on the merit / rank in the CET. |

Dr. Sandeep Singh Sengar
Director (GNIT IPU)
Dr. Sandeep Singh Sengar is an experienced academician and administrator in the field of technical education. He has completed his Doctor of Philosophy from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee under Ministry of Human Resource Developement (MHRD) fellowship in 2013 and Master of Technology from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh in 2002.
In his 20+ years teaching and research duration he has published ten research papers in high repute International journals . He has attended and published papers in various International conferences.
In his academic career, he has guided post graduate and graduate students in the field of electronics engineering. He is editorial member and advisory board member of quite a few international journals.
He is reviewer of some of the international journals. His research experience includes working with organizations such as ICFAI Dehradun, JKLU Jaipur and FTVETI Ethiopia.
His research interest lies in Soft computing, Digital Signal Processing, Image Processing, Remote sensing and disaster mitigation.

Library
The GN GROUP OF INSTITUTE Library is fully air-conditioned and Wi-Fi enabled unit with seating capacity for about 100 readers. The library employs the latest technology in library sciences to provide the best learning environment to its readers.
AC Classrooms
Fully ventilated and air-conditioned class rooms at the campus facilitate a blend of traditional and modern modes of teaching.
Smart Classrooms
The classrooms are equipped with an array of Hi-Tech equipment. In this very special learning environment, LCDs and overhead projectors are available.
Auditorium
The auditorium has a seating capacity of about five hundred people. Extensively used for extra-curricular events and for hosting functions of the College.

The campus is decked with a serene environment, well-tuned for the students and their needs. It has state-of-the-art laboratories and equipment for all the courses we offer.
Career Opportunities
The Degree program is spread over four years with two semesters in each year. Students study generally five to six theory courses and two to three laboratory courses in each semester. The first year of engineering is common to all disciplines. The students learn basic courses such as Discrete Structures, Data Structures and Digital Logic in Second Year Engineering. The courses such as Database, Software Engineering, Signal Processing, Computer networks and Theory of Computation are offered in Third Year Engineering. Students present seminar on topic as per their interest and also carry out a mini project in a group of 2-3 students. In the Final Year department students not only study core courses such as Algorithms, Compilers, Object Oriented Modelling, Advanced Computer Architecture, Distributed Operating Systems, but also choose elective courses as per their interest. Students also carry out project work geared to the needs of the industry.
The Department is dedicated in being the part of the tech revolution in the coming year by upbringing and maintaining a high level of Computer Education Standard for every individual member with a positive vision to help the nation and Society.
