The Department has excellent lab facilities for providing students deep knowledge of the theory learnt in the classrooms. Candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core/ elective/ functional) in the qualifying examination. Admissions Criteria: All applicants are required to appear in Joint Entrance Exam(JEE) Main Paper 1 Conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). The University shall not conduct its own CET for admissions, but shall be utilizing the merit of JEE Main Paper1 for its admissions. The admissions would be based on the merit / rank in the JEE. Note: Blind (including colour blind), deaf and/or dumb candidates shall not be eligible for admission in these courses. |
2 | Lateral Entry to B.Tech Programmes for Diploma holders | Eligibility Criteria: Three-years diploma (completed) in any of the following branches of Engg./Technology with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate* from any recognized Diploma awarding institute/university/board recognized by AICTE:- Computer Engg; Automobile Engg; Chemical Engg, Civil Engg, Construction Engg, Electrical Engg, Electronics & Communication Engg, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Mechanical Engg., Maintenance Engg., Plastic Engg., Printing & Publishing, Production Engg., Public Health & Environmental Engg., Tool & Die Making. Admissions Criteria: Applicants must appear in the CET conducted. The admissions would be based on the merit / rank in the CET. |

Dr. Somendra Shukla is an accomplished academician, administrator, and leader with over 27 years of experience in teaching and academic administration across prestigious institutions, including G.B. Pant University, Agra University, Rohilkhand University, APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, and IIITM Gwalior. Currently serving as the Director of Greater Noida Institute of Technology, Dr. Shukla is dedicated to fostering academic excellence and institutional growth.
A certified Gen Emissary for NEP 2020, Dr. Shukla has expertise in Outcome-Based Education, student-centric teaching methodologies, and accreditation processes. He has also trained over 3,000 engineering educators through Wipro Mission10X and is a certified international engineering educator.
Dr. Shukla's leadership has been instrumental in steering institutions toward NAAC accreditation and establishing Centres of Excellence, particularly in teaching and learning. He is passionate about transforming engineering education, focusing on innovation, quality, and holistic student development. His unwavering commitment to academic excellence continues to inspire both faculty and students, making GNIT a hub of innovation and learning under his visionary guidance.

My carrier objective is to evolve a growth oriented rewarding career in Electronic & Communication sector that offers both challenges and new innovations where in I can utilize my potential, to achieve best performance along with the fulfillment of organizational goals. He is Pursuing Ph.D from MRIIRS, Faridabad in the Wireless Communication domain and done Masters from Thapar University in 2006 as a GATE scholar. He has total 14 years work experience in different domains. In current scenario connected with “Greater Noida Institute of Technologyâ€, Greater Noida as Assistant Professor in ECE Department since 2019. Guided more than seven PG scholars and published more than 10 International papers in different International journals.
