CUET UG 2025 or Common University Entrance Test 2025 is an upcoming national-level undergraduate entrance exam administered by the National Testing Agency NTA to initiate the admission process for UG courses in 287 CUET-Participating universities and colleges at Central/State/Deemed/Private levels.

The CUET 2025 Exam Dates are set to take place from May 08 to June 01, 2025, in Computer-Based Test CBT Mode.

CUET UG 2025 Registration is now open at cuetug.ntaonline.in. The CUET 2025 exam dates were announced by NTA on 1 March 2025 along with the CUET notification 2025 and application form. The CUET 2025 registration last date will be 22 March while students can pay their CUET registration fees up to 23 March 2025 (till 11:50 PM).

When submitting the CUET application form 2025, candidates should carefully read the CUET eligibility criteria 2025. Students are allowed to choose up to five CUET subjects and four exam locations while registering.

CUET UG 2025: New Changes

Candidates can now review the CUET 2025 New Changes recommended by the University Grant Commission UGC on November 13, 2024, which include the elimination of CUET UG subjects, a change in the exam format, and uniformity in the number of questions and duration of the subject choice.

The CUET exam now covers 37 subjects instead of the previous 63 (13 languages, 23 CUET domain subjects, and general tests). Six domain disciplines (Entrepreneurship, Teaching Aptitude, Fashion Studies, Tourism, Legal Studies, and Engineering Graphics) and 20 foreign languages were eliminated.

The CUET UG 2025 will include a general aptitude test, 13 languages, and 23 domain subjects. As per the latest updates, students must attend all the questions in the exam without any options available.

  • CUET UG 2025 Exam in CBT Mode: The CUET UG 2025 will only be administered online.
  • Subject reduction: In CUET UG 2025, applicants can choose up to five disciplines, down from six the previous year.
  • Option to select any subject: Regardless of the subjects they studied in class 12, candidates are free to select any subject in the CUET.
  • Exam length: All subjects will now have a 60-minute CUET exam duration.
  • Fewer Test Subjects: The General Aptitude Test (GAP), which is typically used to determine test scores, now has 37 instead of 63 subjects.
  • All Questions Mandatory: Students must attempt every question on the CUET exam 2025. This is in contrast to the previous years when there were optional questions.

CUET 2025 Language Subjects: In accordance with CUET-UG 2024, language-specific tests of competency are to be administered for the 13 languages (English, Hindi, Gujarati, Kannada, Assamese, Bengali, Malayalam, Punjabi, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu).

CUET UG 2025 Registration Correction Window

The National Testing Agency will open the CUET rectification window 2025 on March 24 2025 just 2 days after the conclusion of the registration period. Editing the details will be possible for registered candidates who have finished the application process and paid the CUET registration fees.

Once the rectification window is open, candidates can make changes to their topic selection, universities, qualifications, and more. The CUET 2025 rectification window will only be open for two days from 24 to 26 March, according to NTA.

The NTA will make the CUET 2025 notification slip available to registered candidates at cuetug.ntaonline.in in the final week of April 2025.
