What is AKTU Counselling 2026?

This year, the counselling process will run through 7 consecutive rounds, with at least 1 special and 1 integral slicing round. Admission to courses in the fields of engineering, management, medicine, arts, commerce, architecture, and technology among 763+ private and public colleges affiliated with AKTU.

The APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University will be conducting this counselling session on behalf of Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Council (UPTAC) based on the results of JEE Main, CUET UG/PG, and NATA entrance exams for admission to various UG and PG courses.

Selected candidates must visit the allocated college in person after each round of online counselling and pay their fee to confirm a seat.

The whole counselling will be administered following a centralized structure based on the scores of the national-level entrance exams.

AKTU Counselling 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The chief prerequisite for candidates who aspire to take part in the counselling must have cleared their intermediate education from UP Board or a similar board. They must also provide evidence of their parental domicile in Uttar Pradesh.

If the candidate passed the qualifying exam outside of Uttar Pradesh, they must upload their parents' (only their mother's or father's) domicile certificate when they register for online verification.

All the original mark sheets and certificates demonstrating a candidate’s academic rigour and achievements must be brought to the allocated college in person for physical verification.

There is no minimum age requirement to enroll in the counselling courses.
