IPU CET 2026 Exam Dates and Pattern, Exam Schedule, Weightage & Marking Scheme
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Delhi, has started conducting the IPU CET 2026 exams from April 25, 2026, across 78 exam centres. They released the exact IPU CET 2026 exam dates for a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs taking place in several stages from April 25 to May 23, 2026.
The exact dates for the exam were released on April 20, 2026, along with the admit cards for exams taking place on April 25 and 26, 2026, while admit cards for exams set to take place on May 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, and 23, 2026, will be released in due course. Students can visit the ipu.ac.in to download their admit cards.
The IPU CET 2026 exams will take place on April 25 and 26, and May 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, and 23, 2026, in various slots, including 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, and 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
The majority of the exams will be held in Delhi NCR, but there will also be exams in Chandigarh, Jaipur, Lucknow, and Kolkata. 50531 students from 78 courses will take the test over the course of several sessions.
The IPU CET 2026 registration window was made accessible on the official website, ipu.ac.in, on February 2, 2026. The IPU CET 2026 application form was originally planned to conclude on March 31, 2026, which was later extended to April 11, 2026. The registration link for the IPU CET is also accessible at ipu.admissions.nic.in.
GGSIPU provided no correction facility window for students to make changes to their submitted IPU CET 2026 application form. So students had to do it correctly on the first attempt to mitigate the risk of rejection of the application.
To give each program a particular testing date, the entrance exams are administered course-wise during this time rather than on a single day. For both undergraduate and graduate programs, the entrance exam will be administered in Pen-and-Paper mode using OMR sheets.
The IPU CET score determines admission to IPU University's BTech (Biotechnology), Lateral Entry to BTech programs for diploma holders, Lateral Entry to BTech programs for BSc graduates, and other UG courses like BBA, B.Com, BCA, BJMC, etc.
All applicants who applied and paid their registration fee for the exam must show up for their course exam on the designated date, according to the course they selected, from April 25 to May 23, 2026.
The IPU CET Admit Card 2026 will be made available in several stages and so far, only students who are taking the exam on April 25 and 26 can download their admit cards. The IPU CET answer key 2026 will be made public in the last week of May 2026.
The IPU CET Result 2026 is expected to be released in the first week of June 2026.
The counseling for CET courses will start in the first week of June 2026, while law course counseling will start in the first week of August 2026.
NEET scores will be used to determine admission to MBBS/BDS programs.
Admission to BBA/LLB and BA/LLB at GGSIPU is based on CLAT results.
JEE Mains 2026 results will be used to determine admission in engineering courses in GGSIPU except B.Tech Biotechnology, Lateral Entry to B. Tech programs for Diploma holders, and Lateral Entry to BTech programs for BSc Graduates.

IPU CET 2026 Exam Dates and Schedule
The exact dates for the IPU CET 2026 were released on April 20, 2026, along with admit cards. The exams are set to take place on April 25 and 26, and May 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, and 23, 2026, in several stages in different slots, including 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, and 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

IPU CET 2026 Counselling Dates
After the IPU CET 2026 results are announced and the merit list is released by the University, GGSIPU will begin the counselling process to admit students in various courses in June 2026. The cut-off and merit list will be announced separately by different GGSIPU-affiliated colleges, along with a separate counselling process.
Depending on how well they did on the admission exam, students may be chosen for the counseling procedure.

IPU CET 2026 Exam Pattern & Weightage
The university's admission exam follows a set format, known as the IPU CET 2026 Exam Pattern. The IPU CET Exam takes 150 minutes to complete and is given online.
The IPU CET will be administered in Hindi for B.Ed. students, although the exam will only be administered in English. There will be 100 questions altogether, worth 400 points, based on 12th-grade subjects like math, geography, English, and computer science, per previous years' IPU CET exam patterns.
- The IPU CET 2026 course varies depending on the degree that applicants are pursuing. The centralized IPU CET test follows a different structure than colleges that take national-level exams like JEE Main, NEET, and others. The official IPU website also offers IPU CET Practice Papers for download.
- Correct responses earn four points on the offline IPU CET 2026 Exam, whereas incorrect answers result in a negative score for UG/PG students.
