CUET UG Results 2026: NTA Score
Candidates' raw results from various shifts are converted to NTA scores for multi-shift tests. The CUET exam's NTA score is only good for admission in the 2026–2027 academic year.
After the results are announced, no complaints about the CUET UG Answer Keys will be entertained. The CUET UG results will be determined using the Final Answer Keys. It is recommended that candidates obtain their scorecards from the official website since they will not be provided with a physical copy.
How is the Score for the CUET UG Results 2026 Determined?
How to Calculate Your CUET Score:
- Raw Score Calculation: To calculate the raw score, divide the number of right answers by five and subtract the number of wrong answers by one.
- Normalization of Scores: To take into consideration differences in difficulty between sessions, raw scores are standardized.
- Calculating the Percentile: The percentile is calculated by dividing the total number of candidates by the number of candidates having raw scores.
- Final CUET Score: The normalized percentile-based score is the final score.
Formula Used to Calculate NTA CUET Scores 2026
Following the normalization procedure, NTA computes the CUET percentile score using the formula below:
- The percentage is calculated by dividing the total number of candidates by the number of candidates with a raw score of 100.
- For instance, your percentile would be 10% if 100 of the 1000 candidates who took the test had raw scores that were the same as or worse than yours.
The percentile indicates how well you performed in comparison to the other applicants who took the CUET UG. Because it considers the exam's complexity as well as the performance of the other applicants, it provides a more accurate assessment of your performance than your raw score.
CUET UG Marking Scheme to Determine Results
The CUET UG marking scheme, which is used for determining CUET raw scores, is mentioned by NTA. NTA will use the CUET UG normalization procedure for subjects that were administered over several sessions after calculating the raw results.
- Five (+5) points will be awarded for each right response or the most suitable response.
- One mark (-1) will be deducted for any option that is marked incorrectly.
- Unanswered or marked-for-review questions will receive a zero.
- Only those who have marked any of the correct alternatives will receive five marks (+5) if multiple options are determined to be accurate.
- Everyone who tries the question will receive five marks (+5) if all of the answers are determined to be right.
- All candidates who attempted the dropped question will receive five (+5) marks if none of the options are determined to be accurate, a question is determined to be incorrect, or a question is dropped.
CUET Score Re-Evaluation for 2026
No request for a score re-evaluation will be considered once the CUET UG results 2026 are obtained. The final scores and percentiles are those listed on the CUET UG scorecard 2026. From June 9 to 11, 2026, candidates had the opportunity to object to the provisional CUET UG answer key 2026, after which the final answer key was released on June 21, 2026.
CUET UG Passing Scores 2026
A candidate must review the passing scores made public by the colleges and institutions to determine whether or not they passed the CUET 2026 exam. All colleges and universities will disclose the CUET UG cut-off, or course-wise passing marks, following the announcement of the CUET UG results. These will be used to screen applicants for admission to UG courses.
CUET UG Results 2026: Normalization Process
The CUET normalization method is used to make sure that candidates are not given any advantages or disadvantages based on the exam's difficulty level, which is administered in phases.
The procedure is typically used for entrance exams at the state and federal levels for enrolment in undergraduate programs. Candidates who will take the CUET UG 2026 exam in all sessions are ranked using a comparable method in this process.
Depending on the average performance in each session, the CUET Normalization Process may result in a slight decrease in the easier session's scores and a slight increase in the tougher session's marks.
The normalization marks will not differ much if the average of the two sessions is not significantly different. To prevent the bunching effect, the percentile score is computed to seven decimal places.
Key points:
- To guarantee fairness in the CUET UG 2026 exam, the CUET Normalization Process is employed.
- The procedure entails modifying each session's grades according to the average performance during that session.
- To prevent the bunching effect, the percentile score is computed to seven decimal places.
CUET UG Results 2026: Marks vs. Percentile
CUET marks and CUET percentile are two different metrics used by the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) to assess a candidate's performance.
The candidate's overall score determined by the exam's marking system is referred to as their CUET marks. On the other hand, the candidate's relative performance in relation to other candidates in the same and different exam sessions is represented by the CUET percentile.
The candidate's CUET percentile or normalized score determines their admission to universities that accept the exam.
CUET UG 2026 Tie-Breaking Rule
The following criteria are used to break ties when two or more students receive the same score:
- Higher Domain-Specific Subject score.
- Higher language test score.
- Higher General Test score (if applicable).
