CUET stands for Common University Entrance Test, was also known as CUCET, and is an All India test conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency). The notification for application form for admission in UG/PG program will be tentatively released in the month of Feb 2024 and examination will be held in the month of May 2024, in between 15-30th of the month.

Important changes in CUET 2024

NTA National Testing agency will release information bulletin in the month of Jan 2024 every year and information would include all necessary detail about admission form, application fee, eligibility, syllabus, examination centre and result declaration in latest updated form. 

Specifically, student can take a note for syllabus of CUET 2024 examination doesn’t had any changes and it is constantly carried forward every year. Thus, student can presume same syllabus carried forward in 2024 also and can plan studies.

To note, the syllabus is advised from NECRT syllabus and these syllabus is basically subject related domain. So, advice would be for student to study NCERT syllabus.

Changes followed in CUET 2023 would be more likely continued in 2024 are-

• Increased application fee of CUET 2024
• Exam slots had been increased to three. Earlier there were only two exam slots and it was accepted by all colleges and universities.
• Student will have an opportunity to select more subjects and would have been increase to 10 subjects
• The question paper pattern will have certain changes that include a decrease in questions in section 2 and section 3; while Question 1A & 1B will remain same.

Eligibility for CUET 2024

While conducting CUET exam, NTA (National Testing Agency) will notify eligibility criteria for students to participate in this exam. Student must carefully read the notification before applying for CUET 2024 application form and match CUET 2024 exam eligibility requirement.
Student can find eligibility criteria and other details like admission process, participating universities or college, exam dates etc on CUET 2024 official website. Importantly, student must be informed that regardless of CUET 2024 results, many of the colleges and universities have their own admission process and they take admission without CUET score like GN Group of Colleges in Greater Noida. • Good News for all students, there is no maximum age cap to appear in CUET 2024 exam to take admission in under-graduate program but it differs from college to college.
• In general, student must have passed Intermediate exam (Class 12th) from any of the recognized board or who are in final year of Intermediate level, can appear to take CUET 2024 entrance test.
• Students who fail to pass minimum percentage in senior secondary level exam or Class 12th, and then he will not be eligible for CUET 2024 entrance test.
• Student must have secured minimum 50% marks in their qualifying Class 12th. For reserved category, the minimum marks required are 45%.

Application form for CUET 2024

The application form for CUET 2024 entrance examination will be released by NTA (National Testing agency) tentatively in the month of February within 1-15th date on official website cuet.samarth.ac.in and the application will be in last till third week of March month. After release of the CUET 2024 form, student must register on the official website of CUET before submission of the form and then student can fill application form. CUET 2024 Application form filling process

Student must read how to fill application form and below are the steps mentioned.

Step 1

Registration process: The first steps while applying to CUET 2024 application form is to do registration on the official website. For registration process,

• Student should go to official website of CUET
• Choose registration process and fill personal details by generating password.
• Student should have their mobile number; while OTP will be send on that mobile number during registration process.
• Once you have generated login credentials, save and project in your note as it will be required in application process.

Step 2

Filling of Application form: Once you visit official website of CUET 2024, use login credential to move forward. Click on application form section and enter all personal or academic detail required in the form. While doing so, student must ready with their academic detail or documents required to fill application form. There will be data required for your personal detail including academic scores, educational background, residential address etc. Pls select exam location centre nearby to your home place as per option offered.

Note: Student must fill application form correctly by not doing spelling mistakes while entering detail, otherwise form will get rejected.

Step 3

Uploading Documents: Student must keep ready scan copies of the academic documents, photograph image in pdf format and signature. While filling application form, student must upload documents by accepting declaration option.

Instructions for uploading photograph

• The photograph should be color with background white in color. Photograph face should constitute 80% of the total space of Photo and face should be without mask.
• The uploading photo or image should be in JPG or JPEG format.
• The scanned photo image file should be within 10-200 Kb. Beyond this image size, window will not accept image.
• The signature image file should range from 4 to 30 Kb and it should be clear and visible.
• For uploading caste certificate, the doc image size should be in-between 50-300 Kb in Pdf format.

Step 4

Payment of Fee:

After completion of above steps, student must pay CUET 2024 examination fee online on the portal through various online mode of payment i.e. Debit card/ credit card/UPI or by using Net banking. Student must check payment gateway fee as it will charge processing fee in addition to actual fee.

Without Payment fee, the application form of the student will not be accepted. Hence, Student must check processing on the payment completed successfully or not.

The application fee structure depends upon the number of subjects chosen by a student. So, as per number of choice of subject, fee is charged in CUET 2024. The application fee is paid online and in any event or issues, fees are non-refundable. Regarding payment, online payment is accepted via Debit card/Credit card/UPI/Net banking.

• While applying for CUET 2024 Application form, students can apply maximum only to three universities. Student must pay fees accordingly if applying to three universities.

CUET 2024 Marking Scheme

NTA had designed CUET entrance exam paper which will contain 100 questions and marking scheme is as such, there are marks allocated for each question. For each right answer, one mark is allotted to students and .25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. There will be no marks for unanswered question.

Syllabus for CUET 2024 Exam UG

Section IA & IB-Language i.e. Reading Comprehension (Student need to do 40 Questions out of 50)

CUET 2024 Exam Answer Key

The tentative date to disclose answer key is July 2024. While for any grievance or issue in claim of answers, student can raise objection to the concerned official authority and need to pay certain fee to address it within time frame.

CUET 2024 Exam Results

CUET 2024 Cut-off

NTA will publish Cut-off marks on their official website and to know cut-off marks of the selected universities, student can visit CUET official website and can access it. All participating universities will offer cut-off score card to under-graduate students on website.

The cut-off is prepared based on a number of student appeared in exam and seats offered by universities in particular exam.

CUET 2024 Exam Instructions

The student examination guidelines will be published by NTA on their official website and In this, guidelines for do’s and don’t of examination day will be provided and student must obey to follow it. Student’s vital information that include student name, date of birth, Roll no, exam date & time, venue etc. will be provided in CUET 2024 exam Admit card.

Previous year CUET 2023 Statistics

Student aspiring to take CUET 2024 entrance exam should know some fact about exam i.e. how many applicants are appearing in this exam, how many attended exam and marks achieved in entrance as well. For such insight, this year 2023, 1490293 students filled up CUET 2023 entrance exam application and out of them, only 968201 students had appeared in the entrance exam at 249 test locations in India and 10 cities abroad. The medium of the test was presented in 13 languages.

As per National Testing Agency (NTA) statement, 21159 students scored 100 in all CUET papers. Out of which, 8360 were males and 12799 were females. In this entrance exam test, 2.16 lakh students had given test in Hindi medium while 7.56 Lakh students took entrance exam in English medium.
