AKTU Admission 2024: B.Tech Program

The B. Tech program lasts four years with two semesters every year. There will be 90 working days of lectures per semester as periodically specified by the AICTE. AKTU admission 2024 for B. Tech program on the campus will be available in 5 different specializations only. AKTU also provides B. Tech programs in 41 specializations with the help of affiliated colleges. A four-year B.Tech curriculum will have 8 semesters, which comprises lectures, tutorials, practicals, seminars, projects, and other courses. AKTU Admission 2024 for B.Tech programs will be determined by the most recent UP Government rules and regulations, as well as the guidelines of the AICTE and relevant council.

AKTU Admission 2024: B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

To apply for a B. Tech program, candidates must have completed the Class 12 syllabus from the UP board, CBSE, or any equivalent board, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.
Candidates must obtain a minimum of 45% in the 12th exam. On the other hand, candidates from SC/ST categories must have completed the 12th class with a minimum of 40% in these disciplines.
Applicants for B. Tech must clear the JEE Mains exam and NATA for B. Arch programs. AKTU provides 20% seats for JEE Main qualified students.
Candidates seeking AKTU admission 2024 to the B. Tech program through lateral entry must meet distinct requirements. To apply for a B. Tech (LE), candidates must complete a three- or four-year diploma in any field of engineering or technology with at least a 60% aggregate from an institution recognized by the UP Board of Technical Education, except for agriculture engineering.
Only applicants to the second year of Agriculture Engineering who have completed a three- or four-year diploma with at least a 50% aggregate from an institution approved by the UP Board of Technical Education may apply.

Note: Transferring from another university to AKTU is not allowed. However, if they fail, a student from an affiliated college or institution or a student enrolled in any other university may be permitted to transfer to the university.

NRI & Kashmiri Migrants Quota: Of the total number of available seats, 5% will go toward the NRI quota. In every institution, a single place would be reserved for Kashmiri migrants (son or daughter of Kashmiri migrants).

AKTU Admission 2024: Eligibility for Post Graduate and Ph. D:

Admission to postgraduate programs requires a minimum of 50% of the corresponding undergraduate degree.
The GATE exam is used for admission to M. Tech programs, and the UP-CET exam is used for MBA, M.Pharm, and B.Pharm courses. The counselling procedure comes next.
Other UG and PG course admissions will be determined by the results of the entrance exam that AKTU administers.
An entrance exam based on research will be used to determine admission to the Ph.D. program. The university's interview will determine the final selection.

AKTU, formerly known as UPTU, provides admission to several government-aided and private institutions affiliated with AKTU. For B.Tech courses, admission is based on JEE Main.
